Reading Groups

Introductory Fellowship

Learn and discuss EA with a small group of like-minded students, and join a community of altruists connecting you to impactful internships, opportunities, grants, and guidance. The introductory fellowship is a free 8-week programme with weekly readings and facilitated small group discussions which explore the most pressing challenges of our time and how we can act on them.

Fellows join a campus community of dedicated altruists and gain access to fun socials, our coworking space, and a global network of professionals dedicated to doing as much good as possible.

AI Safety Discussion Group

Hosted by EA Warwick and Warwick AI, this 7-week fellowship is your entry door to a career in AI safety, ethics and governance. It offers two tracks to choose from - governance or technical - with weekly readings and small-group discussions. The course will introduce common themes of AI safety in the first sessions, and then split into a technical safety and a governance track. After learning the basics you will have the opportunity to develop a project that can help you get started in AI safety.

In-depth Fellowship

The in-depth fellowship is an 8-week, project-based program for anyone looking to use the principles of effective altruism to do good. We will apply prioritisation frameworks to discuss and evaluate a variety of cause areas. The fellowship will also help you develop a personal theory of change and identify your key uncertainties.

The core of the program is a hands-on project, where you will spend several weeks actively working to build skills, resolve a crucial question, or test your fit for a high-impact career path, all within a supportive group of peers. You will leave with a tangible output, connections and resources, and a concrete plan for your next steps.

Some previous experience engaging with EA ideas is preferred, for example through the introductory fellowship.
